Five Years of Color, Community, and Commitment
In 2020, artists from across Seattle came together in the midst of global uprising to paint the Black Lives Matter mural on Pine Street — a bold declaration of truth and justice in the heart of Capitol Hill. Since then, the mural has become a beacon of community power and creative resistance.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the mural’s creation and annual repaint — a moment to honor the past, uplift the present, and recommit to the future.
